Local Policing Priority update – Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth - Last chance to have your say |
||
|
Neighbourhood Policing Teams across #BishopsStortford and #Sawbridgeworth have been tackling the issues that you said matter most to you. They set local policing priorities every four months, providing a specific focus on the concerns that residents have raised through surveys, alongside an analysis of data. During the last period in the Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth area, to help reduce youth-related anti-social behaviour in Cricketfield Lane and Hadham Road, Bishop’s Stortford, and reduce reports of road-related offences in Harlow Road in Sawbridgeworth: • Neighbourhood officers met with staff to discuss the issues and encourage reporting, at the community club, and targeted patrols at the end of the school day has resulted in a reduction of reports to police. • Regular patrols by PCSOs in the Harding area has resulted in no further reports of anti-social behaviour or off-road bike use. • Regular traffic operations have been carried out on Harlow Road and surrounding areas tackling speeding, mobile phone use while driving and cross-border criminality. • The number of speeding vehicles has decreased. We continue to work with Essex Police to ensure the road is not used as a route for serious and organised crime. Whilst there has been a focus on the local priorities, officers have been responding to daily business as usual, as well as force wide priorities and any emerging issues which require more immediate action. It is not too late to submit your thoughts - no one knows an area better than the people who live and work in it and your insight plays a big part in our decision making, helping to shape the priorities, alongside an analysis of local data.
